Display Layout
Grid vs. Slider: Choose how customers see your testimonials
- Grid layout: Shows multiple testimonials at once - good when you have 4-8 strong reviews
- Slider layout: Cycles through testimonials one by one - better when you have many reviews or want to feature each one prominently
- Pro tip: Grid layout tends to be more trustworthy since customers can see multiple reviews simultaneously
Review Content
What to include in each testimonial: Focus on authentic, specific feedback
- Best reviews: Look for reviews that mention specific benefits or overcome common objections
- Include details: Customer name and location make reviews feel more authentic
- Photo power: Customer photos increase trust significantly, but only use them with permission
- Star ratings: Always include star ratings - they're easy to scan and understand
Verification Features
Building extra trust: Show that reviews are legitimate
- Verified badges: Mark reviews from actual purchasers
- Review dates: Recent reviews feel more relevant and trustworthy
- Product linking: Connect testimonials to specific products when relevant
Pro Tips for Success
Best Practices
- Use 3-5 testimonials maximum to avoid overwhelming visitors
- Include a mix of review lengths - some short, some detailed
- Feature reviews that address common customer concerns or questions
- Update testimonials regularly to keep content fresh and relevant
- Choose reviews from customers similar to your target audience
Common Mistakes
- Using fake or obviously edited reviews (customers can tell)
- Including only 5-star reviews (some 4-star reviews actually seem more authentic)
- Making testimonial text too long - people scan quickly
- Using poor quality customer photos that look unprofessional
- Forgetting to get permission before using customer photos or full names
