Alternating Timeline

Purpose

Create engaging visual storytelling by displaying company milestones, product evolution, or brand history in a chronological timeline format with alternating layouts.

Adding the Section

1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
2. Click Add section
3. Select Alternating Timeline
4. Add timeline item blocks for each milestone

Timeline Settings

Content

• Heading - Main section title (default: "Our Journey")
• Subheading - Optional description text with rich formatting
• Text Alignment - Left, center, or right alignment for heading/subheading
• Mobile Alignment - Separate alignment control for mobile devices
• Heading Size - Size options from small to extra large

Visual Settings

• Color Scheme - Choose your theme's color scheme
• Image Aspect Ratio - Control image dimensions:
  • 1:1 - Square images
  • 4:3 - Standard ratio
  • 3:2 - Landscape ratio
  • 16:9 - Widescreen ratio
• Fade Images - Fade inactive images for focus effect

Timeline Item Blocks

Each timeline milestone includes:

Content

• Year - Timeline date or period (default: "2020")
• Title - Milestone headline (default: "Started the journey")
• Description - Rich text description of the milestone

Layout Control

• Horizontal Alignment - Text alignment within its area (left, center, right)
• Vertical Alignment - Vertical positioning relative to image (top, center, bottom)
• Image - Visual representation of the milestone
