Access the Collaborator Code
Shopify assigns every store a 4‑digit collaborator code. You share this code with an approved partner (like CROapps support) so we can send a collaborator access request. This improves security by ensuring only authorized parties can request access.
As of 2024 the collaborator code requirement has been fully in effect for all new (and most existing) Shopify stores—so you will almost certainly have one already.
Why It Matters
- Verifies that an access request is legitimate.
- Speeds up troubleshooting (we can inspect theme settings, reproduction steps, and logs directly).
- Lets you keep staff accounts clean—collaborators have scoped permissions you approve.
How to Find the Code
- In your Shopify admin, click Settings (lower-left corner).
- Go to Users and permissions.
- Scroll to the Collaborators panel / box.
- Copy the 4‑digit Collaborator code shown there.
- Provide that code when opening a support ticket with us (do NOT post it publicly).

Sharing the Code Securely
- Only send it through official CROapps support channels or via your existing ticket.
- Never publish it in public forums or reviews.
After We Have the Code
- We submit a collaborator access request.
- You receive a notification in the Users and permissions area.
- We investigate and follow up with findings or fixes.
TIP
Revoke collaborator access after the issue is resolved if you prefer minimal ongoing external access.
