Featured Collection
What This Section Does
Display products from different collections in one organized section with clickable tabs. Instead of overwhelming customers with all your products at once, this section lets them browse specific categories that interest them most.
Perfect for:
- Homepage product showcases organized by category
- Seasonal collections (summer vs. winter gear)
- Product types (tops, bottoms, accessories)
- Customer segments (men's, women's, kids')
How to Add It
Step 1: Add the Section
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes
- Click Customize next to your live theme
- Click Add section in your main content area
- Choose Featured Collection from the list
Step 2: Set Up Your Collections
- Choose how many collection tabs you want (2-4 works best)
- Select which collections to feature in each tab
- Decide how many products to show from each collection (8-12 is usually good)
- Give each tab a clear, customer-friendly name
Key Settings to Configure
Collection Organization
Which collections to feature: Choose collections that complement each other
- Best practice: Pick collections with similar price points so customers can easily compare
- Pro tip: Feature your best-selling or highest-margin collections first
- Avoid: Mixing very different product types (like jewelry and furniture)
Product Display
How many products to show: Balance variety with page loading speed
- Sweet spot: 8-12 products per collection gives good variety without overwhelming
- Mobile consideration: Remember customers will scroll through these on small screens
- Pro tip: Make sure you have enough inventory in each collection to fill the display
Sidebar Content (Optional)
Extra promotional space: Add text, images, or buttons alongside your products
- When to use: Perfect for explaining collection benefits or highlighting sales
- Content ideas: Size guides, styling tips, or "Shop the Look" buttons
- Keep it simple: Don't distract from the main product browsing experience
