Key Settings to Configure

Button Content

Button Text: The words that appear on your button

  • Best practice: Use action-oriented language like "Shop Now", "Get Started", "Learn More"
  • Keep it concise: 1-3 words work best for buttons
  • Be specific: "Shop Shoes" is better than just "Shop"

Button Link: Where customers go when they click

  • Internal links: Link to other pages in your store (products, collections, pages)
  • External links: Link to social media, partner sites, or other resources
  • Pro tip: Always test your links to make sure they work correctly

Button Style

Primary vs Secondary: Choose the visual prominence

  • Primary: Bold, attention-grabbing style for main actions (like "Buy Now")
  • Secondary: Subtle style for supporting actions (like "Learn More")
  • When to use: Use Primary for your most important action, Secondary for additional options

Pro Tips for Success

Button Best Practices

  • Use action words: Start with verbs like "Shop", "Buy", "Download", "Subscribe"
  • Create urgency: Words like "Now" or "Today" can increase clicks
  • Be specific: "View Collection" is clearer than "Click Here"
  • Test placement: Buttons work best after you've given customers a reason to click

Common Mistakes

  • Vague text: Avoid generic words like "Click Here" or "Submit"
  • Too many primary buttons: Use one primary button per section to avoid confusion
  • Broken links: Always test your button links before publishing
  • Poor contrast: Make sure button text is readable against the button background
